Charles Robinson

Charles has over 30 years of experience in financial services. From Durban, Charles leads AssetHouse's African operations, an independent investment management and financial advisory company in Mauritius.

 

He began his career at Barclays Bank before joining Appleton as Director of Broker Services, subsequently specialising in offshore investments and insurance products through senior roles at Royal Skandia, Finanzplan, and Scottish Life International (now RL360), with particular expertise in Channel Islands-domiciled offshore investment solutions. 

 

He currently serves as a Director of International Assurance Limited PCC, where he is involved in expanding the Company’s Africa business footprint, as well as ensuring the ongoing delivery of high quality customer services. 

 

Charles holds a South African FSP license (2006) and has completed the International Capital Markets examination as well as being registered with the South African Financial Services Board as a Key Individual, he meets all regulatory requirements as a fit and proper financial services professional. He is also a certified director and member of the Institute of Directors in South Africa (IODSA) reflecting his commitment to governance and ethical business conduct.
