With 47 years in insurance and risk management, Phillip Pettersen is a seasoned professional with global expertise in underwriting, broking, and corporate governance.

 

His career includes senior roles at Alexander Forbes Group, where he served as Managing Director of Forbes Re, followed by international positions as a Lloyd's broker in London and executive roles in Switzerland's reinsurance sector.

 

Now a Chartered Director, Phillip serves on boards in Bermuda, Mauritius and South Africa, frequently as Chair or Lead Independent Director. He holds numerous prestigious designations, including Fellow of both the UK and South African Chartered Insurance Institutes, Chartered Risk Manager, and Fellowships with risk management societies in South Africa and Mauritius.

 

Phillip is registered with the South African Financial Services Board as a Key Individual and licensed non-life insurance advisor. His unique combination of technical insurance expertise and governance experience across multiple jurisdictions makes him an invaluable board asset.
